Norma Mae (Lackson) Dragon

Norma Mae Dragon, 89, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in Austinburg, Ohio.  She was born May 26, 1931 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Arnie and Mayme Lackson. 

Norma was a 1949 graduate of Harbor High School. She had been employed at General Tire, Premix, and Hotel Ashtabula.  She also worked in the home healthcare industry.

Norma greatly enjoyed her children and grandchildren.  She loved cooking, baking, and sewing.  She was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir.  Norma also loved to read and had written a few poems.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol Glenn; and brother, Carl Lackson.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew Dragon of over 40 years; daughter, Faith Jordan of North Kingsville; sons, David (Lori) Jordan of Hobe Sound, Florida and Craig Coutts of Saybrook; grandchildren, Cody Masella of Land O’Lakes, Florida, Benea Masella of New Port Richey, Florida, Rachael Coutts of Conneaut, Ohio, and Hanna Coutts of Ashtabula; stepchildren, Cheryl Lawless of Warren, Ohio, Debbie Hansher of Phoenix, Arizona, Jackie (Ron) Fenton of Ashtabula, Lori (Jeff) Grant of Concord, Ohio, and Mark (Cindy) Dragon of Parma, Ohio; and seven step-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be observed 1-2 p.m. Monday, March 15, at Potti Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.  A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio. 

Norma’s family would like to thank the awesome staff at Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the loving care of their Mom the past seven years.
