Obituary
Lorene J. (Johnson) Haytcher, 86, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023. She was born in Ashtabula on June 27,1937, the daughter of Neilo and Esther (Summanen) Johnson.
After graduating from Harbor High School in 1955, she worked as a telephone operator, then as a bank teller, and later as a switchboard operator for Peoples Savings/First Merit Bank. After her retirement from the bank, she worked in the craft and sewing department at Walmart until her full retirement. In her personal time she loved to garden, read books, make crafts and sew, play computer games, and provide a loving home for many pets over the years.
Lorene married the late David Haytcher on January 21, 1966, and together they raised their two children, Ben and Lori.
Survivors include her son, Ben (Danielle) Haytcher; daughter, Lori (Steve) Lindsay; grandchildren, Keith (Jess) Haytcher and Kevin (Bonnie) Haytcher; and great grandchildren, Stella, Zephyr, Hurley, Michelle, Ryker, Rhett ad Sally.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, David.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League.
Private services will be held at a later date.
