L. Rosemary Juhola

L. Rosemary Juhola died peacefully with family by her side on March 14, 2023 in Ashtabula. She was born on April 7, 1931 to the late Paul and Mildred England in Lakewood, Ohio.

She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1949. Rosemary was active in high school sports which continued into her adulthood. She played volleyball in the Ashtabula league until she was in her mid-50s.  Rosemary ventured to Ashtabula in 1951 to pursue her career as an X-ray Technician, at then Ashtabula General Hospital, where she worked for 30+ years. She met her husband, the late Kenneth Juhola, when she x-rayed him for a sports injury.

Rosemary and Ken were married November 21,1953 and raised their four surviving sons, Mike (Denise), Dan (Jill), Tom (Karen) and Andy (Julie). Rosemary and Ken never missed one of their boy’s games and were very active Harbor High School Athletic Boosters. She had seven grandchildren Andria (Jeremy), Danny, Greg, Kaylee, Ryan (Demetri), Emily (Dillon), and Abby; four great grandchildren and one on the way; and two step-grandchildren, Jarred and Jordan. She is also survived by her brother, David. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Eugene; and infant great-grandson, Luke.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 with 1:00 p.m. service following at Potti Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula OH  44004.  Rev. Michael Meranda will officiate.  Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
