Kimberly Ann DiBell passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Seidman Cancer Center after complications from cervical cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. Kimberly was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on July 27,1961, the daughter of Kenneth and Christine (Lukkarila) DiBell.
She grew up in Ashtabula Harbor and was a Harbor High School Class of 1979 graduate. Kim graduated from Knoedler School of Practical Nurse Education in 1985. She then went on to graduate from Regents College of New York State University in 1995, and spent most of her career working at local nursing homes, leading staff as Director of Nursing. Kim was a great nurse and leader. She always displayed compassion and was caring, not only to her patients, but to her staff as well. She always went above and beyond in both her personal and professional life. Her sense of humor was legendary. If you were a friend of hers, you had a true friend for life.
She is survived in death by her loving children, daughter, Ashley McClintock of North Kingsville and son, Zachary (Courtney) McClintock of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Chloe and Carter Panzone, who were, in her later years, the loves of her life; her former stepchildren, Aaron Smith of Willoughby and Maryssa Colucci of Ashtabula; siblings, Bonnie (Greg) Blood of Conneaut, Wendy (Bob) Keene of Ashtabula, Mark (Sherrin) DiBell of Willoughby, and Melyssa (Ray Wilson) DiBell of Geneva; many nieces and nephews; and her two life long friends, Cheryl McClintic and Ginny Williams May.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael; fiancé, Gregory Colucci; and former husband, Thomas McClintock.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Potti Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula OH 44004.
