Joseph M. Keene, 60, passed away November 20, 2021 in North Carolina. The son of Lawrence and Mary C. (Gibson) Keene, he was born August 23, 1961 in Ashtabula. He lived in Collinsville, Virginia for the last 20 years and worked at Goodyear Rubber and Tire in Danville, Virginia for 13 years.
We say goodbye to the most loving and generous husband, father, grandad, brother, and friend, with whom we were blessed. He always sacrificed and worked hard for his family. He provided his family with a great life and home, protecting them, teaching them so much, and giving them all such wonderful, unforgettable memories. He was a grandad like no other. His grandchildren thought the sun rose and set with him. He was so selfless with his time and energy, and spoiled all of his grandkids, taking them fishing, to Myrtle Beach, and Ohio State National Championships. He taught his children and grandchildren first and foremost how to be #1 Diehard Ohio State Fans. Moreover, he taught them to be firm in their standards and morals, to stay strong in their faith, to be generous, and to share their blessings with others. He will be deeply missed and forever loved--always!
Proceeding him in death are his parents; his wife, Terri L. Conrad-Keene; and his grandson, Jaxson A. Keene.
Survivors include his daughters, Shannon N. Hall and Eva M. Barbour; grandchildren, Raelynn O. Bruner, Christian A. Bruner, Teagan L. Cowdrey, Emma G. Aparicio, and Eva F. Aparicio; and siblings, Johnnie Keene, Russell Keene, Bobby Keene, Anita Bolen, June Keene, and Alice Peters.
