Don Brink Peters
Obituary
Don Brink Peters, age 84, died April 24, 2023 at Ashtabula County Medical Center in the ICU unit. Don was born in Ashtabula and had resided most of his life in the Ashtabula Harbor. He attended Jackson Elementary and was a 1957 graduate of Harbor High School. He served in the U.S. Army, Company A, 27th Battalion C from 1959 until being honorably discharged in 1961. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Merchant Mariner from 1961 until 1964. After military service, Don worked for the railroad, the U.S.P.S. as a carrier, and the A&B Dock of Ashtabula Harbor.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Alfred William and Mary Jean (Squires) Peters; wife, Lila Jean; son, Don Walter; and sister, Jean May.
Don is survived by his daughter, Tisha Bernard and brother, Dennis Clark Peters.
Per his wishes, Don will be cremated without formal funeral services and requested that his ashes be spread at sea. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Don Brink Peters will be missed.
