Dennis Jokilehto

On May 6, 2018, we said goodbye to Dennis Jokilehto, born January 6, 1949. Dennis was a life-long resident of Ashtabula Harbor. He is the son of Jean and Helen (Esterholm) Jokilehto.

Dennis graduated from Harbor High School in 1967 and continued his education at Kent State University. He graduated in 1971 with a degree in education, and worked in the Buckeye school system until his retirement.

As a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, he was a leader of the youth program. He was a member of several social clubs, including The Elks Lodge and The Sons of Italy. Dennis was a loving and caring man, being caregiver to his mother until the end of her life. He and his life partner, Nancy Arnold, spent many years enjoying each other, along with the many friends they acquired. He had a wonderful sense of humor and you could always hear his laughter from "Dennis's Stool" at Brennan's Pub, where he made so many of his family and friends. Dennis's laughter and caring nature will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at Brennan's Pub on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 2:00 PM.
