Clifford C. Corey

Clifford Calvin Corey passed away September 8, 2023.  He was born March 30, 1931 in Bellevue, Ohio, the son of Clifford and Tyne (Hakundy) Corey).

He served in the U.S. Navy, fought in the Korean War and was honorably discharged May 5, 1953. Clifford was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the VFW, Eagles, and American Legion. He was employed as plant manager at Southern Bell.  After he retired, he took over and ran a tree farm as a master tree farmer. Then, he worked as a security guard.  Clifford loved golf, dancing, puzzles, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by son Cyrus Corey, Lisa Corey and granddaughter, Jillian Corey. 

He was proceeded in death by his son, Clayton Conroy Corey, and his wife, Dorothy Sparks-Corey. 

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Potti Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.
