Catherine Elizabeth Bordeaux, 91, died on Thursday, April 15, 2021 in the Ashtabula County Medical Center’s Emergency Room, surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Michael and Katherine (Kish) Seaman, Catherine was born on July 1, 1929 in Ashtabula. She was a graduate of the Class of 1947 from Ashtabula High School. On September 21, 1963 Catherine married Gerald (Buff) Bordeaux. They were married for 40 years until her “Hunny” and best friend passed on October 21, 2003.
Prior to marriage, Catherine worked and was an avid amateur bowler. At one point in her amateur career, she bowled her 10th career 600, a 604 in the City Recreation League, which was quite an accomplishment. Over the years Catherine was a stay-at-home mother raising two children, Robert and Renee. According to her children, she was a great mother and grandmother. In her down time she loved challenging herself by doing any type of crossword or word search puzzle.
Catherine is survived by her loving son, Robert (Judith) Bordeaux and daughter, Renee (Scott) Overway; grandchildren, Brittany Block, Amber (Ben) Poff, Ryland and Alexandra Bordeaux;. great grandchildren, Landyn and Leo Block and Avery Poff; and many nieces and nephews.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gerald "Buff"; her brothers, Michael “Mitch” Seaman, Joseph Seaman, Richard Seaman; and her sister, Mary Jane Enos.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 22, from 10:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Kingsville, OH.
