Betty Jean (Williams) O'Baker

Betty Jean (Williams) O’Baker, 78, died October 28th, 2020 at Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg, Ohio. She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on October 18, 1942, the only child of B.J. and Helen (Broughton) Williams.  Betty was married to the love of her life, Ronald L. O'Baker, for 57 years. 

She graduated from Pierpont High School in 1960. She was a member of the Pierpont Presbyterian Church and served on several boards. She worked for the Ashtabula County Nursing Home for several years and had the pleasure of baking and decorating wedding cakes.

Betty loved her family. She could be found in her kitchen baking bread, cookies and pies for them on a regular basis. She was a selfless, supportive, caring, determined, hardworking, generous woman who showed up for her family and every person in town with a beautiful, loving and caring smile. She will be sadly missed by many.

She is survived by her three children, Ruthella Coder, Lynnette O’Baker and Justus (Kim) O’Baker, all of Pierpont, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Ashley (Thatcher) Tagle of Mentor, Ohio, Jaclyn (Ben) Flossie of Green, Ohio, Montana Terry of Niles, Ohio, Austin O’Baker of Estes Park, Colorado, Noah Goldsmith and Joshua Goldsmith both of Pierpont, Ohio, Meadow Gilpin,  Kendall Gilpin and Teegan O’Baker, all of Pierpont, Ohio; and five great grandchildren, Irie Tagle and Braxton Tagle of Mentor, Ohio, Stella Flossie and Sullivan Flossie of Green, Ohio, and Tucker Terry of Niles, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald L O'Baker.

Calling hours will be held at the Pierpont Presbyterian Church, Route 7, Pierpont, Ohio on Monday, November 2, 2020, 11:00 a.m. to1:00 p.m. with funeral service following at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pierpont Presbyterian Church.
