Kathy M. Eichele

Kathy M. Eichele, 67, of Conneaut OH passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Ashtabula County Medical Center with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Lakewood OH on January 5, 1952, the daughter of James and Viola Leonard.  Kathy was a 1970 graduate of Edgewood High School.

She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, loved collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia and camping.  She loved decorating cakes and her pimento cheese.  When she had time, she would watch cooking shows, rescue, and medical shows on television.  Kathy was the most courageous and strong person anyone could have imagined.  She took life by the horns and gave it her all in any circumstance.  Kathy was an amazing daughter, mother, grandmother and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, James Leonard; brother, Tim Leonard; sister, Karen Sapp; daughter, Tara Lemmon; and her fiancé, Bob Case.

Kathy is survived by: her mother, Viola Leonard; children, Cherrie (Tim) Greer, Lori (Bobby) Beatty, and Jason (Jennifer) Lemmon; brothers, Mike (Patty) Leonard and Jason Leonard; sisters, Margie (Roger) Welton and Patty Roberts; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Thursday, June 13, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow at Potti Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula OH.

The family would like to thank her nurses, aides, Hospice caregivers and doctors at Ashtabula County Medical Center for the care they gave her during her illness.
