Jean Burns

Jean Burns, 91, of Ashtabula, entered peacefully into heaven's gates on February 2, 2019.  She was born February 7, 1927 in Cleveland OH, the daughter of Ida and Rudolph Rinas. Jean attended Jefferson High School and graduated from Andover High School.  She lived in the Ashtabula area most of her life.  Jean loved flowers and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (James) Risner of Springfield MO; granddaughter and caregiver, Ericka (Angel) Bryan of Ashtabula OH; sister, Ruth Potti of Ashtabula OH; sister-in-law, Marita RInas of Ashtabula OH; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Roland Hill, Cecil Hinkle, and Norman Burns; brother, Herbert Rinas; and children, Janine Burr and Douglas Hill.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. with service following at 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Potti Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula OH.  Rev. James Risner, her son-in-law, will officiate.  Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery at a later date.
