Frank D. Cole, age 72, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Geauga Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born July 13, 1946 in Kentucky, the son of Arthur and Myrtle Cole.
An Ashtabula resident most of his life, he attended Harbor High School and worked for Union Carbide and Austinburg Co-Op until his retirement due to illness. He loved to hunt, fish and listen to Country music. He also loved to go to Lake Shore Park with his 1978 Malibu.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patty (Johnson) Cole; sons, Frank (Tammy Herron) Cole Jr. and Robert Cole; daughter, Crystal Cole; sister, Pearl Waltari; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Brittaney, Lucie, Natalee, Maggie, and Nathan; and several nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James F. Cole and Oscar Cole; and sisters, Alberta Cole, Alma Gayheart and Wanda Almond.
Per Frank's request, his service will be private to include his wife and children.
