Michael Scot DiBell

October 30, 1965 - May 3, 2018

Michael Scot DiBell, age 52, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 3, 2018 at his home. He was born October 30, 1965 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Rose Christine (Lukkarila) and Kenneth L. DiBell.

He was 1984 graduate of Harbor High School. He graduated from the paramedic program at Brown Memorial Hospital and went on to become an EMS instructor there. He served his community in many ways as a deputy sheriff, corrections officer, firefighter, and he was a paramedic for over 20 years. The joy of this life was spending time with this family. His interests included playing guitar, Star Tek, James Bond, and serenading his nephew, Jeremy, with “In the Eyes of the Ranger.”

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Ward); his daughters, Kelli, Brittani, Hannah, and Sydney; and grandchildren, Leo and Baleigh. He is also survived by his dear nieces, Kaylie and Jessica; siblings, Bonnie (Greg) Blood of Conneaut; Wendy (Bobby) Keene of Ashtabula; Kimberly DiBell of North Kingsville; Mark, his womb mate, (Sherrin) DiBell of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and Melyssa DiBell of Geneva.

A celebration of his life will be held 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Potti Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1329 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.
